YOUR DUTY OF CARE:
Extract from DEFRA paper Hazardous Waste Regulations
Under Part 5 of the new hazardous waste regulations, where hazardous waste is to be produced or removed from any premises the premises must be notified to the Environment Agency. From the 16th of July 2005 the movement of hazardous waste from premises that are not either notified or exempt will be prohibited. Producers who fail to notify and who are not genuinely exempt will be committing an offence. The duty to notify premises rests with the producer of the waste.
